Failure to Engage

Our day started at 330 AM today, and no it wasn't by choice. Our family and Perry were all on an American Airlines flight out of LAX at 730. As expected the day started rough. We were all groggy, running off of 3 or 4 hours of sleep and this lead to my Dad and Parker arguing over loading stuff in the car. Finally, all 5 of us were crammed in my dad's truck headed to LA. We made it on our flight fine and it was smooth sailing until we attempted to go surfing. It was good size on the north shore and Pork was over going to Haleiwa. I was pumped to surf so my dad and I headed down to meet up with Joel. Basically, long story short, he paddled out with the bullshit electronic key to the rental car in his pocket. The thing got fried and we were locked out of our car which contained his wallet, phone, and my new 6'10". Joel being the nicest human on earth brought us to his house and helped us call the company. We were on hold for 30 minutes then finally they told us how to get into the car. Unfortunately, the electronic key was done, and our car is stuck in the Haleiwa parking lot for the night. Just to top it off, he left his phone and wallet on the back of Joel's truck as we rode away. They fell off in the middle of the street. Luckily, there was someone behind us who honked and got my dad's attention. After a few cold beers, a mental sunset, and some pizza he ended up assuming the position on the couch... All in all it was a great day. Parker got a bomb at pipe while i was stuck in Haleiwa, I got some fun waves, and we are cruising in Hawaii for the next 11 days!

Parker's wave. He just got pinched at the end. Didn't put the whole sequence up. Courtesy of our uncle, Jason Baffa.
